I personally enjoyed the old school HBK-Koslov bout. Koslov focusing on HBK’s back worked for me. Loved the closing moments that included a surprise appearance by the Undertaker. The Michaels vs. Undertaker WM25 bout will be special knowing these 2 men as I do. Both have contributed mightily at past ‘Manias and to be able to wrestle each other in Texas will be special for each of them.

At this time it has not been confirmed whether or not ‘Taker will appear on the show. As noted in our Raw coverage page, Shawn Michaels will be wrestling Vladimir Kozlov on tonight’s broadcast with the winner of the bout earning the right to challenge The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 25. However, during the match, it was announced that the winner of the bout would have to next face SmackDown’s undefeated Vladimir Kozlov for the right to face The Phenom on The Grandest Stage of Them All. Umaga’s new song really sucks, it doesn’t have the punch his other theme had. Another good match, Umaga is a really good wrestler. Taker was hugely over. The end saw some nice back and forth action with some near falls until Umaga went for the Samoan Spike but Taker caught him with the Triangle Choke, Umaga passed out and it was over. After the match Taker posed for the crowd and the show was over without Lilian thanking the fans.

The knockout finish to the Big Show and Undertaker match at last night’s WWE No Mercy pay-per-view is part of the company’s attempt to put more realistic parts in their matches. Backstage, the finish to the match didn’t go over as well as WWE officials had hopes and they felt that the spot with the exposed turnbuckle didn’t get over as it should have with the live crowd.
Yeah, ‘Taker did kind of look weak out there don’t ya think. Oh well, I don’t think I’m alone in assuming he’ll defeat Big Show in a month or so (depending on whether he takes a break) to end the feud.
